Todd A. Finkle, Ph.D. Todd A. Finkle, Ph.D. is the Pigott Professor of Entrepreneurship at Gonzaga University. He has worked for numerous small businesses, non-profits, and worked in marketing for a Fortune 500 company.
In addition to writing about Warren Buffett, Todd has written extensively about the life of several famous entrepreneurs in his first book Lessons Learned from Leading Entrepreneurs: Case Studies in Business and Entrepreneurship. Todd has received multiple invitations to speak about Warren Buffett at several venues. He created a personal relationship with him after taking seven cohorts of his students to visit him in Omaha, Nebraska. Todd has written numerous articles focusing on Buffett’s life, investment methodology, Charlie Munger, behavioral biases, and failures. Like Buffett, Todd has has a passion for investments and entrepreneurship, having been an active investor for the past 38 years, while founding 5 for-profit companies and co-founding a non-profit along the way. The non-profit won a national award. Todd was born and raised a few miles from Buffett’s current house in Omaha. He attended Omaha Central, the same high school as Buffett’s first wife, three children, and his business partner Charlie Munger. Todd earned both a PhD in business and a B.S. in life sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Buffett’s undergraduate alma mater. Todd also has an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Ranked #17 at the time) where he also founded and ran a company full-time while going to school full-time. Todd lives in Spokane, Washington with his wife Patti. He has a stepson, Joe, and stepdaughter-in law, Emily, who recently have two sons, Benjamin and Elijah. |
